Winning Books

I love winning things, especially books. Entering competitions is a fantastic way of discovering new books and authors. There was a time when I would enter any competition that I could find, and I won a lot of books. Lately, however, I haven’t had as much time as I would like. I must get back to it.

There are a number of places you can find competitions to enter. These include:

  • Email newsletters from bookshops and authors
  • Book bloggers
  • Websites for book tours, such as Books on Tour
  • Podcasts about books such as Middle Grade Mavens
  • YouTube channels that feature books
  • Book related events

If you can think of any other places, please add them in the comments.

When entering competitions, often the organisation will add you to their email list. It’s a small price to pay for a chance to win a book. You can also find out about the next giveaway from the competition organiser.

On the occasion you are the lucky winner, provide the competition with your address as soon as possible so they can send you the book and you can start reading. Once you’ve finished the book, be sure to leave a review in all the usual places – Amazon, Goodreads, and the author/publisher website.
